First aid
The emergency call
What do you do if someone is injured? - Exactly! You call the emergency services.
But what does an emergency call involve?
An emergency call includes what happened, what problems there are, etc.
For this you need the 5 W's.
They are:
" Who is on the phone?"
" What happened?"
" Where did it happen?"
" How many injured?"
" Waiting for questions!"

Applying a head bandage – here's how!
When do you put a head bandage on?
A head bandage is used when the patient has an injury to the head. This could be a laceration, for example.
Required material:
- compress
- fixation bandage
- or, if available, a bandage pack
How is this done?
You press a compress onto the wound and secure it with a bandage.
To do this, wrap the bandage twice around the head at forehead level, then wrap it twice over the chin and then continue wrapping it around the head at forehead level until the fixation bandage ends. Then tuck the end under the bandage.
For a better understanding, please watch the following video!
Nosebleed - What to do?
1. Head forward!
2. Squeeze your nostrils together!
3. If available, put something cool on the neck!

Resuscitation/cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
You found an unconscious person and discovered that they are no longer breathing and therefore require resuscitation?
Now you have to call the emergency center and keep pressing until the doctor comes!
- Remove all clothing from the patient's upper body! - And yes, for women, the bra too. This is done so that the clothing does not dampen the pressure you exert on the thorax (chest) and so that you cannot injure the patient with any objects underneath.
- Look for the pressure point! - This is located in the middle between the two nipples.
- Knees close to the patient's body!
- Shift your body weight over the patient and press! - To the beat of "Atemlos" (Helene Fischer), "Highway to Hell" (AC/DC) or another suitable song. (Simply enter the keywords "songs" and "resuscitation" in the search bar and you will see a variety of them.)
- After 30 presses, either ventilate twice or just check breathing!
You can find out more about this in the video.
How can you help us?
1. By doing something for the community yourself.
For example:
- provide first aid
- join an aid and/or rescue organization, such as the German Red Cross, the Johanniter or a fire department
- join us
2. By donating something to us.
For example:
- expired bandages
- courage
- (Of course, we are happy about money, but that is not our priority.)
